Alice Fisher Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of Alice Mildred Fisher on April 13, 2023 in Nova Scotia, Canada. She was born on July 21, 1946 in Rawdon Gold Mines and was a beloved wife to her late husband Carl Bernard Fisher and loving mother to her five children; Virginia Clarke (Kevin), April Anderson, Steven Fisher (Natasha), Daniel Fisher, and Wade Fisher. She grew up with 6 siblings, and is survived by sister Marie Nearing (New Waterford, Cape Breton) and brother Lori Wilson (Berwick, NS) She is pre-deceased by her mother, Stella Wilson (Hache), father Charles Wilson, brothers Stanley, Roland, Newton, David, and Freddie, her husband Carl Fisher, her son Wade Fisher, and her grandson Jeremy Fisher.

She will be deeply missed by her children, her grandchildren Wade Hudson, Dolena MacLean (Matt), Brandi Fisher (Coulton), Autumn Anderson (Brody), Damian Anderson (Amanda), Kyle Hebb, Bailey Barker, Kristen Clarke, Kyle Parsons, and Madison Fisher, and her 11 great grandchildren (Dante, Leayla, Amaya, Sage, Azura, Inara, Isaac, Oakley, Veronica, Lennox, and Remy.)

Alice was a waitress for most of her working life, and loved being around people. She was known for opening her heart and home to anybody in need. She enjoyed dancing to Elvis, road trips, sitting down with a good book, and taking care of her animals. Alice was happiest when she was surrounded by family and friends, and looked for any excuse to have a family gathering. She found beauty in the small things, and will always be remembered for her strength and resilience. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

The family wishes to thank the support of the VON, with special mention of her favourite nurse Sarah, for enhancing her quality of life in her final years.

Alice's life will be celebrated with a private and small gathering of family and friends, where she will be laid to rest beside her late husband, Carl and her son Wade at the Robie Street Cemetary in Truro, NS. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in Alice’s name to an animal charity of your choice.

Alice will be remembered and cherished in our hearts forever. May she rest in peace.
