Audrey MacDonald Obituary

Audrey Mae MacDonald, a beloved sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on February 27, 2024, at Digby General Hospital. She was born in Halifax, NS, and leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Audrey will be deeply missed by her sisters, Faith Cromarty and Theresa Moore (Dick), as well as her nephews and niece, Matthieu Gaudet (Marie-Josée), Marc Gaudet (Lori), André Gaudet, David Moore, Janice Holden (Mark), and Steven Moore (Caroline). She was also a cherished presence in the lives of her great nieces and nephew, Jayla Gaudet, Margaux Gaudet, Maxime Gaudet, and Janelle Gaudet.

Audrey dedicated 25 years of her life to serving the federal government, then worked at Northwood Manor in Halifax for 15 years, where she touched the lives of many with her kindness and dedication. She was known for her dry sense of humor and her famous catchphrase, "what you see is what you get," which always brought a smile to those around her. Her passion for gardening and tending to her flowers brought her immense joy, and she could often be heard quoting her favorite shows and movies, bringing laughter to those in her company.

A service to honor Audrey's life will be held at Sacré-Coeur Catholic Church in Saulnierville on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at 11am. This will be a time for family and friends to come together to celebrate Audrey's life and share the memories that will forever live on in their hearts.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the compassionate team at the palliative care unit at Digby Hospital for their exceptional care and support during Audrey's final days. They would also like to express their gratitude to all the friends and family who provided comfort and assistance during this difficult time. A heartfelt thank you goes to Alvina LeBlanc for being a wonderful advocate and source of strength for Audrey and her loved ones.

Audrey's presence in the lives of those who knew her will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the memories and love she shared with all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will forever be remembered for her warmth, humor, and unwavering love for her family and friends. May she rest in peace, knowing that she was cherished and loved beyond measure.
