BAUER, Beverley Isabel Joan, Windsor
Passed away peacefully in Valley Hospice, Kentville, NS, on March 25, 2023.
She was born on April 16, 1935, to Swinfen and Isabel (Sargent) Ball in Kingston, Ontario. The family moved to Windsor when Beverley was a young child.
Beverley attended Edgehill School for Girls (now Kings Edgehill) from age seven until graduation. She attended Dalhousie University Halifax, NS and Secretarial College in London, England.
She worked at CBC Halifax TV and BBC in England. In her interesting life, she lived in England, France, and the U.S.A. She met her American husband, Edward V. Bauer, in London and moved with him to Las Vegas, Nevada. After he died there, she moved back to Canada.
Beverley was an avid reader and valued member of the Windsor Library Book Club. She enjoyed travel, studying art history, and cooking. She had an extensive handwritten recipe collection, especially of foods from other countries. She also took great pleasure watching classic black and white movies.
She was predeceased by her parents and her husband Eddie and is survived by her stepson Keith (Mary) Bauer, and stepdaughters Karen Ellison and Cathy Bauer, and several step grandchildren and step greatgrandchildren, all residing in the U.S.A.
Cremation has taken place and she will be interred next to her husband in Boulder City, Nevada, where there will be a family service.
A celebration of life in Windsor is planned for a later date.
