Chester "Chet" Ellis Tidd, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away with his family by his side on September 17, 2023 in Alyesford, NS Canada. He was born on November 7, 1946 in Tiddville, NS Canada to the late James Tidd and Amelia "Minnie" (Burns) Tidd
Chet was a loving and devoted husband to his wife Joan for over 24 years. He was a devoted father to his children Trudy (Chris), Clifton, Shawna (Darren), and step-daughter Lisa (Shawn). He was a proud grandfather to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Chet loved being outside doing his yard work, he loved his lawn mower, he like driving up and down the road while mowing the sides. He enjoyed camp fires, camping, playing his guitar and was always listening to country classic music. Chet was a hardworking man who was dedicated to his job at Frasers Pro Hardware before he retired do to his health, he was always willing to go the extra mile for his customers, and letting them know "if we don't have it, you don't need it". Chet enjoyed going to work to chat with his co-workers about what happened on General Hospital.
Chet was a kind and gentle soul who was loved by all who knew him. He had a great sense of humor always joking around making people laugh.
Chet was predeceased by his sisters Violet, Mary, and Iva, brothers Leonard and Herbert in infancy. He is survived by his brothers Alan (Wanda) and Junior (Claudia), as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Chet will be remembered for his sense of humor, kind heart, beautiful smile. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
