Duffney, Christopher John age 50 of Clearland (formerly of Martins River)
It is with broken hearts we announce passing of Chris on Saturday, October 21 2023. He passed away suddenly with family by his side.
Chris was born October 31, 1972 in Toronto, Ontario, he spent most of his life growing up in Mahone Bay N.S.
CHRIS started fishing on a Scallop dragger out of Lunenburg NS at age of 15. In 1991 when he turned 18, he went to St Johns Newfoundland to go fishing on a Scallop dragger. He returned to Nova Scotia in 1993. Picked up at the Airport by Rochelle and that was the start of their love story. Chris loved singing, playing guitar. Playing darts and loved the Toronto Maple Leafs and fishing with his buddy Garrett.
Chris is survived by his loving wife Rochelle of 30 years and their two daughters Tori and Teanna.
Sister Lisa and Brother Troy (Michelle). Sister-In-Laws Christina Robar and Carolyn Sawler (Jake), Brother-In-Law Max Bishop, Father-In-Law Roger Zwicker, Nova Scotia Lots of loving Aunts and Uncles in Nova Scotia and Newfoundland, many Nieces and Nephews whom Chris loved dearly.
Predeceased by his father Aloysius and his mother Wilma, Grandparents Aloysius and Martha Duffney, and Hazel and Milton Coles. Aunt Bernice Coles and Uncle George Duffney Mother-in-law Ann Zwicker, brother-In-laws Scott Sawler and Mike Robar
A Celebration of life will be held at Oakhill Fire Hall, 2104 HWY 325 Whynott Settlement, NS, from 1-4 pm on November 10, 2023 with Interment to follow at Park Cemetery 47 Park St., Mahone Bay, Off Kinburn Street.
Memorial donation can be made to the heart and stroke foundation or to the family or charity of choice.
