David "Dave" Lionel Shankel

David Lionel Shankel age 77 of Martock passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday, august 3rd, 2022.

Born in Windsor, he is the son of the late John and Ainslie (Cole).

David is survived by his wife of 45 years, Suzan, son Josh and his six furry, feline friends. As well as his brother Hugh (Bev) of Windsor, sister Betty (David) of the USA and Irene (Wendell) of PEI, mother-in-law Marion McNeil of Windsor, sister-in-law Nancy McNeil of Windsor, and brother-in-law Jim (Nancy) McNeil of Hantsport.

David worked for 35 years at Eastern Fence Erectors. Anyone who knew Dvid knew of his passion for Baseball. He coached minor league ball for 35 years and was very proud of the successes his “kids” had and are still having.

Before he passed away the last thing he did was watch his beloved Yankees play ball. (Even though they lost)

In keeping with David’s wishes, there will be no service at this time. A celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
