SEARS, Donald Atlee

Age 92, of Hantsport, Hants Co. passed away peacefully, with family by his side, on Monday, December 5, at Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville.
Don was born in Halifax on May 27, 1930. He was an avid golfer for most of his life and loved outdoor activities especially hunting, fishing and sailing. He and his wife Delores enjoyed spending many winters in Florida. Don and Delores raised their 6 children in Hantsport where he ran his business out of his home office.

Don is survived by his children, Victor (Peggy), Kenneth (Sharon), Gregory, Brenda (Yvon), Brian, Janet (Tony); his grandchildren, Jeremy, Becky, David, Vicki, Christopher, Sean, Nathan and Olivia and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his mother, Myrtle Barkhouse and step-father Cameron Barkhouse, wife Delores, brother Leslie Sears, sister Maxine (Pat) Bryden, step-brother Arnold Barkhouse and an infant daughter, Donna.

Arrangements have been entrusted to East Coast Memorial, 186 Water St., Windsor (902-403-9292). A tentative date for a family graveside funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday April 22 in Riverbank Cemetery, Hantsport.
