Donna Marguerite (Card) Coffill

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donna Marguerite (Card) Coffill, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Donna was born on January 27, 1957 in Windsor, Nova Scotia, and passed away peacefully at home in Three Mile Plains on May 9, 2023, with her loving husband of 45 years, Francis Coffill, by her side.

Donna was predeceased by her mother, Shirley (Keddy) Card, and her in-laws, Curtis and Helena Coffill, and brother-in-law Keith (Carolyn MacDonald) Coffill and Donald MacRitchie. 

She is survived by her loving daughter, Pamela Card (Serge) of Ellershouse, her pride and joy grandson, Dustin Chandler of Labrador City, her father, Walter Card of Center Burlington, her sisters Janise Card (John) of Sheffields Mills, Wanda Card (Grant) of Windsor, and Terry Eldridge (Mike) of Ellershouse, as well as many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Donna was a proud member of the West Nova Scotia Regiment, and had a long and varied career, working at KFC in Windsor, Royal Trust in Windsor, Force 10/Computer Access in Halifax, Fraser & Hoyt Travel in New Minas, Commissionaires at the Halifax Regional Airport, and most recently as a 911 Military Dispatcher in Halifax.

In her spare time, Donna loved to sew, knit, craft, and paint. But her true passion was travel, and she especially loved being on a cruise in the Caribbean.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, May 14, 2023 at Three Mile Plains Community Hall, at 2pm, with Rev. Karen Lynch officiating. Cremation will take place, with family burial at a later date in the Card Beach Cemetery in Center Burlington. Family flowers only. Words of celebration are welcome.
