Douglas John Edwards, of Bible Hill, NS, passed away suddenly on April 17, 2024, in Colchester East Hants Health Centre.
He was born on August 1, 1957 and raised in Montreal, PQ. In 1979 Doug moved to Brampton, ON, where he met his wife of 44 years, Pauline (nee McClement) and raised their three children Paul (Christa), John (Brittani) and Danielle (Mark), whom he loved so very much. He was later blessed with his five grandchildren, Natalie and Jake Harris, and Myla, Brynn and Bowen Edwards.
Doug was predeceased by his mother, Violet, and his brother, David, leaving behind his siblings Linda Williams, Danny, and Donnie, as well as his inlaws, Brenda and John Lovell, Sandra and Rick McCullough, Judy Edwards, Cindy McClement and Sharron Cosgrove, along with his many nieces and nephews.
Doug was an aircraft spray painter at McDonnell Douglas Canada (Boeing) for 28 years. He enjoyed many happy years camping at Klondike Park and then 12 more happy years at our home in Wasaga Beach. His dream was to retire in Nova Scotia, which happened in 2021. He leaves behind many lifelong friends, most especially, Iain and Corinne Brown and Graham and Kelly Jacobs.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the emergency staff and Oncology department at Colchester East Hants Hospital for all that you have done.
Breathe easy now Doug and fly high. We love you.
