It is with a broken heart that we announce the passing of our dear husband, father and grandfather on Thursday January 11th, 2024 at the VG Site of the QEII. Earl had been suffering from a lengthy illness which finally took him from us.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Edith Hilda (Edie), son Michael Kenneth (Mike) and his wonderful wife Regina, son Scott Alexander, Sister Judith (Judy) Horton (Gordon) of Sonora, N.S. Also his grandchildren Jenna Hobson and Victoria Graham, and great-grandchildren Olivia and Scottie Jr.
Earl was pre-deceased by his Mother and Father, Muriel Jessie and Kenneth DeLong Graham, and his grandson Scott William Hobson.
Earl was employed in his younger years with Co-Operators Insurance of Halifax, where he enjoyed 30 years working alongside his fellow workers who he had great feelings for, and always left for work with a smile on his face. He enjoyed playing golf with his Dad on a regular basis when he was younger and sailing his boat in St. Margaret's Bay when his family spent the summers at their cottage at Mason's Point. In his later years he took the family camping down the Peggy's Cove Road where he and the children enjoyed many days of fishing and boating. We will have many good memories to look back on.
We were so blessed to have had the care of the wonderful Nurses and Doctors at the VG Hospital. Not only did they do everything to help Earl, but me as well. I will never forget them all. I would also like to thank our family Doctor, Dr. Robert J. Scovil of Timberlea for all of his kindness with Earl and our whole family.
Cremation has already taken place and a graveside service will be held at a later date.
