It is with great sadness that we announe the loss of love, strength, caring, support and wisdom with the passing of our much loved mother.
Elizabeth "Betty"Ann Johnson - Age 88 of Halifax passed away on June 3, 2021.
Born in Canso she was the daughter of the late Robert Leslie and Mabel Elizabeth MacDuff (Parker).
Betty worked at Northwood and obtained her Food Service Supervisor diploma in 1984 and continued to work at Northwood until she retired in 1991. She loved her job and the many friends and co-workers she met
along the way.
Betty loved spending time with her children and their families, she loved visitors.
She enjoyed the older country and western music especially Conway Twitty and Charlie Pride.
She loved facebook and catching up with new and old friends and family and she loved picking on Trudeau!
She would laugh watching the Monkeys F1, she said they were like babies and the people taking care of them, it gave her great enjoyment. She also loved watching Coronation Street.
Betty was the strongest woman we knew, she was always there for us and never expected anything in return. When she could she always made sure that she had a meal prepared so that you left with a full stomach.
Betty will be greatly missed by her children: James (Jimmy) Johnson of South Rawdon; Deborah (Debbie) Wamback of Sackville; Wayne Johnson of Spryfield; Joseph (Joey) Johnson of Spryfield; Robert Johnson of Dartmouth; Margaret Johnson of Dartmouth and Brenda Williams of Sackville. Betty also raised a grandson who was loved as one of her own.
Betty is survivied by her brother John MacDuff of London ON; sisters Rose Eisnor of Halifax and Florence Kelly of Sackville.
Preceded by brother Chester MacDuff of Cape Breton, Theresa Stone of Antigonish,
Edith Phillips of Sackville and baby sister Jeannie MacDuff of Fox Isalnd Main.
Many grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she loved dearly. Numerous nieces
and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
