Obituary
The family of Elizabeth “Arla” Warren (Curnew), with deepest sadness announce her passing in the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital in Halifax on May 8, 2022. After a very short battle with cancer, Arla passed peacefully on Mother’s Day. Arla was pre-deceased by her mother, Alma Curnew (Lucas), her father Michael Curnew (Downey), sister Janice, brother Wayne Curnew, all of the Codroy Valley, NL and former husband Wilfred Warren of Courtney, BC. She is mourned by her sons Michael (and wife Tanya) Warren of Halifax and Dwayne (and wife Christine) Warren of Winnipeg. Family grave-site ceremony is planned for the Summer of 2023 in the Codroy Valley, NL, Arla’s hometown. Arla was a fiercely proud and independent woman and her passing was no different. She demanded no fuss or pomp as she leaves this world and rests, finally without pain.
She will be forever missed.
