Gary Lunn Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the loss of Gary Lee Lunn of Upper Burlington, NS, who passed away peacefully in hospital on January 10th, 2023 at the age of 72.

Born on March 5, 1950, and raised in Sweets Corner, Gary was a friendly face to many. In his early years, he was an iron worker in western Canada. After returning home, he took pride in serving his community as a by-law enforcement officer for many years.

In his free time, Gary enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading, and photography. Baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1989, Gary loved to share his Bible-based hope with his neighbors.

Gary is predeceased by his parents, James Lunn and Marie Ross and his brother, Edward Lunn.

He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Sheila (Pineo), his son, Jason Sanford, his step-son, Jeff (Jamie) Davis, and step-daughters Angie (Rick) Connors, and Cindy (Chris) LeBlanc, and his sister-in-law, Miriam Lunn.

He will also be dearly missed by his grandchildren, Samantha (Reid) Wall, Emilee (Curtis) Davis, Kenzie (Morgan) Moore, Parker (Macie) Connors, Lucas Davis, and great-grandchildren, Scarlett, Aspen, and Max.

Always the life of the party, Gary will be fondly remembered for his entertaining stories and his wonderful sense of humor.

At this time, there will be no visitation or funeral arrangements.

The family would like to formally thank the doctors and nurses at Hants Community Hospital for their exceptional care and kindness.
