Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gary Wade Shand, born January 21, 1964 in Halifax, NS. He passed away peacefully on September 4, 2023 at the QEII – V.G. Site.
Gary was a beloved father to Tonya and Jesse and grandfather and a loving brother to Wayne and sisters Diane, Debbie and Brenda. He was also a beloved partner to Verna
He was predeceased by his wife, Betty, his father, Ervin, and his mother, Vivian. As well as by his brothers, Donnie and David and his sister, Heather.
Gary was a kind and gentle soul who was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was a hard worker and was always willing to go the extra mile.
Gary had a great sense of humour and was always making people laugh. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, having campfires, and cold beer. He loved listening to his music spending time on the golf course.
Gary will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He was a wonderful man who touched the lives of many. He will be remembered for his kind heart, his sense of humour, and his love of the outdoors.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
