Harold Swineamer, age 84 of Centre Burlington passed away suddenly at Hants Community Hospital on October 11, 2021. Born in Halifax he was the youngest son of Charles and Stella Swinehammer. Harold started working at a young age and worked in various types of work, from a paper boy, to working in accounting at National Drugs, to a meat cutter at EnnEss, (The NS abattoir) to a general labourer and various construction sites in the Halifax and surrounding area. When he retired he took up beekeeping and kept family and friends supplied with his own honey. Harold and his wife Patsy also owned and operated a slaughterhouse for many years.
Harold is survived by his daughters, Cherilyn (Gary) MacIntosh of Lower Sackville, Heather Foley of Hanan, AB and Karen (Chris Hebb) of Windsor Forks. Six grandchildren, Jeffrey, Christopher, Victor, Ryan, Brittni, and Sarah and 13 great-grandchildren, Bailey, Joshwa, Brian, Charisma, Zander, Denver, Tyffani , Wyatt, Michael, Amelia, Aalayah and Georgia and his sister Mary Rose of Halifax. He was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Patricia, and his brothers Charles, Rupert, David, Lewis, Kenneth and George. At Harold's request there will be no visitation or service.
