Howard "George" Wiswell

George Wiswell - 78 formerly of Belmont, passed away peacefully in Whitehills Long-term Care nursing home, Pockwock, on December 7th,2021.

He was the son of the late Howard and Mary (Mountain) Wiswell. George is survived by daughters Mary (Hugh) Avery, Georgina (Danny), Roseanne Carter. Step-children Amy (Garnet) Noseworthy and Bert (Michelle) Wiswell, grandchildren Mandy (Andrew), Brittany (Stefan), Stephen, Brayden and Austin. Siblings, Sandy (Phil) Hillier, Carol (Bill) Thompson, Steven and John. Predeceased by his wife and the love of his life, Gloria (Noseworthy), son-in-law Scott Carter and granddaughter, Lisha Marie Noseworthy.

George enjoyed being outdoors and puttering around. He was known for his love of animals, and for his many tales and stories in which he had been everywhere and had done everything. He was a bargain hunter and there wasn’t a yard sale that he would pass by. Even though there were family members that had not seen George for a long period of time he talked about them all the time.

Cremation has taken place and a family celebration of life will take place at a later date.

 The family would like to thank the staff at Whitehills Long-term Care Nursing Home for their care of George over the last year.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
