Huiyi "Winnie" Liang

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Huiyi "Winnie" Liang on September 11th, 2021. Winnie was born in China and came to Ottawa, Canada in September 2019. She is a graduate of both University and College, holding two jobs. Most importantly is her love for God, her family and friends. She is the only child of Mr. Xuqiang LIANG & Ms. Wanqiao LI and deeply loved by her paternal grandmother, maternal grandparents, aunts, uncles. She is predeceased by her grandfather.

Winnie is sweet, kind, and loving, and built a beautiful life in Canada. She has many friends who love her and quickly became like family. The Ottawa Community Church, led by Pastor Luis, are especially grieving her passing. We have peace and comfort that she is with our Lord Jesus Christ and we will meet again in Heaven. 

We would like to extend our gratitude to the police, paramedics, and firefighters for all of their rescue efforts. And a heartfelt thank you to the military, search and rescue volunteers, community, church volunteers, and to friends and family for their unwavering help and support during this tragic time.

A memorial service will be held for Winnie Liang by Ottawa Community Church on Thursday, September 23rd, 2021 at 7:00pm (EST) at Bible Ministries International and Restoration, 500 Bride Private, Nepean
