Jackie Worth Smeltzer, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on January 26, 2024, in Scotch Village, Nova Scotia. She was born on July 4, 1947, in Northwich, Cheshire, England, and her passing has left a void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Jackie was a loving and devoted wife to her husband, Russell Smeltzer. Loving sister to John(Bonnie) Pinchin and a cherished mother to her son, Bill (Jen) Smeltzer, and her daughters, Heather (Joe) Lyon and Cindy (Arnold) Spence. Her grandchildren, Austin, Hayden, Lillian, Arielle, Trinity, Lana, Henry, Kiefer, and Samantha, as well as her great-grandchildren, Alexander, Kegan, Sophia, Clara, Adalynn, and Layla, brought immense joy and pride to her life.
Throughout her life, Jackie's creative spirit shone brightly. She was known for her incredible talent in crocheting, especially her famous pumpkin hats for Dill's in Windsor. Her artistic skills extended to tole painting, and she had a passion for collecting rare tins. Jackie's love for baking and cooking brought warmth and comfort to her family and friends, and her delicious creations will be remembered with fondness.
Jackie was predeceased by her mother, Addie Pinchin, her father, William Pinchin, and her sister, Jeanette Munroe. Her passing leaves a deep sense of loss in the hearts of her family and friends, who will forever cherish the memories they shared with her.
In accordance with her wishes, there will be no service to commemorate Jackie's life, and cremation has taken place. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, and her legacy of love, creativity, and warmth will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
Jackie Worth Smeltzer will be deeply missed and forever remembered for the love and light she brought into the lives of those around her. May she rest in peace, and may her spirit continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who were touched by her presence.
