Hayman, James "Allan" - 67 of Brookfield, passed away peacefully after a brief illness at Colchester East Hants Health Center, with his loving wife by his side. Allan was the son of the late Arthur and Florence (Lambert) Hayman of North River.
Allan was an avid baseball and hockey player and played on many local teams over the years as well as various bowling leagues. He was an honorary member of the North River fire brigade and a member of the RCAF club (The Wing) Truro.
Having worked for 20 years for the Municipality of Colchester, he retired several years ago.
Allan had a great love for all animals, enjoyed his motorcycles, time at the beach, dancing, yard sales, card games, and was well known for his larger-than-life laugh.
He is survived by his wife Brenda Hayman (Tattrie/Teed) of Brookfield, son, Wayne Hayman (Paulette) of Calgary, AB, step daughter Krista-Lee Fisher (Robin) of Grande Digue, NB and stepson Brenton Teed (Jenn) of Grande Digue, NB. He is also survived by a brother, Murray Hayman of North River, sister, Joy Comeau (Alvin), Durham, grandchildren Adam and Erica Hayman of Calgary, AB and Elsie Teed of Grande Digue, NB and by many other loved family members.
Allan was predeceased by his brother Wayne, and just recently his faithful furry companion, King.
Donations in memory of Allan may be made to SPCA, Truro, or Soul Harbor, Truro.
A graveside burial for James will be held at a later date.
