John began his advertising career in London, England working in media and researching for major advertising agencies such as Dorland Advertising, Leo Burnett and the Thomson organization. He met Laraine when she was reporting on one of his presentations and the rest is history. She was a package deal with three small children and John bravely jumped into fatherhood. He was also the chairman of the Canadian Advertising Research Foundation. In later years they were adventurous and moved back to London with JD Power and lived near the Globe Theatre where they took in many performances, then on to Panama where they spent nine marvelous years and finally a last move to Halifax to be close to family.
