Obituary

It pains me to admit but Karmen passed away on August 4th , 2023.

Everyone told me it would happen, but I simply didn’t want to hear it much less experience it. While I’m on the story of Karmen, on February 22, 1961, his parents, Ruth & Wesley Brison, and his older sister Karen Redden celebrated Karmen Wesley Brison’s birth. That’s when he became a shore boy from Cheverie. Karmen has so many memories and a couple of the best ones was the birth of his daughter, Caitlin (Stacy Lamrock) & his son Tyler. Karmen worked in the construction industry with numerous titles but talking about work is boring.

At 51 Karmen and I met, when he thought he would never fall in love again. But we had the best 11 years together. With our marriage Karmen gained a stepson David (Terri-Lynn Seaboyer). When Karmen thought he couldn’t love no one else he became a Poppy to Abigail, Sophia & Gwendolyn who lit up his life anytime he saw them. These three grand-angles stole his heart and enriched his life more than words can say. These three treasures will go with Karmen wherever his journey takes him. Karmen leaves behind his loving wife, me Sheila, whom I know he loved me dearly & never held back his feelings for me.

Karmen was world-renowned for being stubborn & a lack of patience, not holding back his opinion & a knack for telling it like it is. With that said he was genuine to a fault, a pussy cat at heart or a lion. His extensive vocabulary was more than highly proficient at knowing something about everything. When Karmen was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer 2 years ago, he decided to mend fences. He did have the chance to know & love each and every friend as well as all his family members. How much more blessed can a person be. If you want, you can look for Karmen when you see a cardinal or most birds. You know he’ll be there in one form or another.

Please don’t cry for Karmen instead be happy you had the chance to know him. Well maybe cry a little bit, after all he did pass away. Today Karmen is happy, back to his old self, playing with all his beloved pets, cooking, and singing songs with that beautiful voice. Love you forever Karmen.
