Kevin Weber Obituary

It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of our big guy Kevin.  He passed away surrounded by love and peace.  Kevin spent the past 10.5 months at home in his beautiful sunroom he built overlooking the Bay of Fundy.

Kevin is survived by his best friend & partner in life and business, “Kevin’s” Molly (Teri Faessler), step-dad to Tyler since Tyler was 8, Jenna (Blair), Matthew and his beautiful grandchildren who he adored, Nora, Regan & Emma.  Brother-in-law to Michele (Roger), Bridget (Jeff) and Shyanne (John), nieces & nephews Ashton, Skyler, Rachel, Maxx & Sadie.

Kevin is survived by his wonderful mother, Gertrude, sisters Karen (Bruce) Brenda and brother Brian.  Kevin’s mother continues to teach piano in her mid 80’s and taught Kevin to play.  Kevin became an accomplished classical pianist.  He excelled in everything he did.  He was predeceased by his Dad, Eldon in June 1999.  Kevin and Eldon were so much alike.

Kevin’s Dad, Eldon started Weber’s Electric in 1963 in Ontario.  When his two boys were old enough they joined the family business.  Eldon passed away suddenly in June 1999.  Brian, Kevin’s brother continues to carry on Eldon’s legacy Weber Electrical in Ontario.   While Kevin came to Nova Scotia to carry on Eldon’s Legacy.  So many of us have family businesses and hope our children will carry on the legacy.  Tyler will carry on Eldon’s and Kev’s legacy.  Kevin and Tyler were 2 peas in a pod.  Best friends, fun times.  Kevin was proud of how well Tyler caught on to complicated jobs.  Kevin would be so proud of Tyler now.  We will miss him forever, will never forget Kevin & Molly’s adventures, love, hugs and my best Leaf buddy.

It is hard to thank everyone who has been so supportive.  Friends, family, clients, businesses I cannot thank all of you enough for everything you did for Tyler and myself.  All the churches for their prayers and my Mennonite Community in Ontario for their prayer circles.  Thank you VON and Continuing Care, Mary Longmire.  So very grateful.

Thankful to both our families, Weber’s and Faesslers and all our friends in Ontario.  I know it has been hard with Covid but very grateful for the calls of support and over the Internet.  Don’t know that I could have handled it without you.  Thank you to our wonderful son Tyler.. always here for me no matter what time of day or night, you are my rock Tyler & I love you so.  Jenna and Matthew I love you and always there for me even when you are so many kms. away.

We will miss him so very much, that wonderful smile, the twinkle in his eyes, his wink, his love.  My World revolved around Kevin and Kevin’s World revolved around me.  He was truly one of a kind and I will forever miss him and everything we did together.  He was my partner in life, business and my best friend.  I have truly lost the love of my life and Tyler has lost his best friend, bud and mentor.  The hurt cannot be put into words.  We loved him so very much, he was always happy, positive and go go and get ‘er done.  We will continue to carry on Kevin’s plans and keep Weber Electric on the move.  He worked so very hard and was always there for everyone.  I tried everything I could think of but it was not to be and now what is left is such sadness, he was taken too early.  We will love you my “big guy” forever.

As per Kevin’s request cremation has taken place and that you please visit www.eastcoastmemorial.ca to share one of your favorite memories of Kevin. .  East Coast Memorial has been so compassionate and professional and I thank you for the support you have given me and dignity and respect for our beloved Kev.

Kevin also requested that a tree or flowering bush be planted in his memory or contribute to a charity of your choice.  Due to Covid a celebration of Kevin’s life can hopefully be held beginning of August.  He wanted a “flotilla” of boats, good tunes, a few drinks and fireworks in our Cove.  I had to ask him what is a flotilla?  He laughed and said “oh just a few boats”.   “You & me wearing rain coats” our Beatles song forever my love.
