Krikor "Koko" Toghlajian

Krikor Toghlajian, beloved father, grandfather, cousin and friend, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2023 in Halifax, NS. He was born on December 2, 1938 in Beirut, Lebanon.
 
He was the son of the late, Nazareth and Aiguil (Karakhanian) Toghlajian.

He was a devoted father to his two sons, Serge (Cheryl Tobin) and Sevak (Andrea Beaver), and a loving grandfather to Jacob and Lydia. He was also a beloved member of his larger family spread out across the globe.

He was predeceased by his wife, Anahid, and his sister Loris.

Krikor was a man of many passions. He was a lifelong fan of football and his beloved Manchester United, his appreciation of the finer things in life and his love of big American cars. He also loved providing gifts to his grandchildren, specifically drinking straws of all shapes and sizes.

He was insistent on always dressing sharply and to be a la mode, often complemented for his sense of style by loved ones and strangers, especially when it came to his shoes!

"Koko Aga" was a kind and generous man. He lived life to the fullest in his younger days, and his home was always filled with family, friends and celebration. He and his wife, Ano, to their own personal sacrifice, moved their young family to Canada in 1990 looking for a better future for their children.

Koko will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

A private family gathering to celebrate his life will be held in Halifax, as well as in his hometown of Beirut, Lebanon. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the charity of your choice.
