It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Leonard “Wade” Shupe age 60 of Windsor, (formally of Scotch Village), Hants County, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2023 in the Hants Community Hospital. Born on April 23, 1963 in Halifax, he was the son of the late Leonard and Jean (Gudger) Shupe, and brother of Glenn Shupe.
Wade was a beloved son, brother, uncle, father, grandfather, and friend. He was a kind and gentle soul who was always willing to lend a helping hand. Wade enjoyed his career as a painter for over 30 years and a member of the International Painters and Allied Trades and was a proud, longstanding member of the Windsor Legion, branch #9. Those of us who knew him best, will miss the playful taunting and torments of Wade’s sense of humour.
Wade was a loving father, and a devoted grandfather to his granddaughter who was the light of his life. Wade was a loyal brother as well.
Surviving is his Son, Lenny Greenough, Windsor, Granddaughter Aroura Greenough and her Mother Kelsey Pye Cowbay; Brother, Donnis (Cindy) Union Corner; sisters, Christina (Jeff) Dowe, Falmouth; Melissa (Chris) Levy, Scotch Village; nieces, Amy (Hunter), Jayna, Kiona; Presley; nephews, Dawson (Hailee), Braeden; great-nephews, Jack, Gunner, Charlie and Levi.
We take comfort in knowing that Wade is now at peace. The family would like to Thank HCH staff, VON and Home care.
