It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our Beloved mother Mary Jane Gargan on September 7, 2023 of French Village at the VG after a couragous battle with cancer Mary Jane was born on January 21, 1949 in Sydney, NS to Edith Keefe and Robert Westbury. She is survived by her 2 brothers David and Robert along with her sister Judy.
Mary Jane started her nursing career in Montreal then moved to Halifax, she was passionate about her work and made so many special friends along the way. She was a devoted mother to her daughter Erin (Nick) and son Patrick (Allison). She was a loving Nana to Noah, Levi and Abigail, and was always so proud of them.
Mary Jane was a vibrant and lively person who loved life. She was the life of the party and was loved by everyone she met. She was always singing along to her favorite songs while driving in her car, and she loved to dance.
Mary Jane will be deeply missed by her family and friends. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank the nurses at the Vg floor 7a who took such good care of our mother. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
