Mary Catherine MacDonald (nee Johns) 66 It is with profound sadness and shattered hearts that we, the family of Mary Catherine MacDonald, announce her sudden passing on Thursday, January 11th, 2024, at home in Garlands Crossing, NS.
Cathy was a loving, proud, and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to many. Cathy is predeceased by her daughter Wendy, parents Joe and Ruth Johns and In-laws Ray and Elma MacDonald, brother in-law Barry and sister in-law Jean. Cathy is survived by her husband Wendell, daughter Tami Lynn (Chris), grandchildren Mackenzie and Jace.
She is survived by many sisters, brothers, in laws, nieces, nephews, aunt’s uncles and cousins.
Cathy has had many jobs over the years however she is better known for her lifelong passion for crafting, baking, canning and her love for animals. She was always there for you, whether you needed to rant, get advice, needed a craft or some baked goods for an event. Cathy was also very passionate about her support group Mothers of Angels which was very important to her. She always enjoyed spending time and attend gatherings with family. Cathy’s deep sense of kindness and integrity and her generous and gentle spirit were appreciated by all who knew her.

As per Cathys request there will be no service and cremation has already taken place. As per the families wishes there will be a Celebration of Life being held in the late spring. Date and location will be announced giving all that are wanting to attend sufficient time to make plans.
