Nancy "Dolly" Norton-Davidson, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many, passed away unexpectedly on April 18th, 2024, at Black River Lake in Nova Scotia. She was born on September 28th, 1963, in Wolfville and leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will forever be cherished by those who knew her.

Dolly's life was defined by the deep connections she shared with her family. She was the loving wife of Marshall Davidson and the devoted mother of Tyler (Helen) and Chelsey (Cory). Her granddaughters Isabelle and Olivia brought immeasurable joy into her life. Throughout her life, Dolly demonstrated unwavering strength and compassion for others. Her career at Atlantic Poultry showcased not only her dedication to her work but also reflected the nurturing spirit that she carried with her every day. Those who had the privilege of knowing Dolly can attest to the warmth and kindness she exuded in all aspects of life.

Dolly’s love for animals began at an early age, growing up on Fred’s hobby farm. She often told stories of the many ponies and horses in her life. In her early years Dolly was active in, gymnastics, playing ball and horseback riding. Later in life, she and Marshall enjoyed their many trips south, as well as road trips on the Harley Davidson, and boat rides with friends at their haven at black river lake, in her heart she was always a valley girl, loving the sun, the sand and the sea.

In addition to her career, Dolly found immense fulfillment in being a dedicated homemaker and mother, she stayed at home with her children throughout their childhood years and was fondly thought of as their friend’s other mother. Her ability to create a warm and welcoming environment for those around her made everyone feel like they were part of something truly special whenever they entered their home.

The loss of Dolly has left an irreplaceable void in the hearts of all who knew her. However, it is through memories filled with laughter, love, and moments shared together that we find solace during this difficult time.

A private graveside service officiated by Rev. Gary Manthorne with family will be held on Sunday April 28th where loved ones will come together to honor Dolly's memory while finding comfort in each other's embrace. A reception at Gaspereau Hall to follow from 2-4 PM, where the family will welcome friends and acquaintances to remember the life of an incredibly beautiful soul.

As we bid farewell to our Dolly- let us carry forward the lessons she taught us about love, resilience, and empathy towards others. Though she may no longer walk among us, she lives on through each person whose heart she touched.
