Owen Robert MacDonald

Owen Robert MacDonald, formerly of Trenton, Nova Scotia, passed away peacefully at his home in Dartmouth of severe heart disease on October 22, 2022.

He is survived by son, David Morton Terris, Stellarton, NS; brothers Glenn, Toronto; Errol (Cathy), New Minas, NS; Alden, New Glasgow, NS and Mark (Shari), Trenton, NS; nephews and nieces Erin MacDonald, Justin MacDonald, Nathaniel MacDonald, Markus MacDonald, Joshua MacDonald, Sarah MacDonald, Cameron MacDonald, Keith MacDonald.  He was predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Delphine MacDonald, Trenton, NS.

Owen was a graduate of Trenton High School and Cobetec Community College (Masonry).  He worked at  various jobs ranging from painting to property management and had worked in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Ontario, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.

Owen lived a severely troubled life up until he turned his life fully over to the Lord.  The family takes comfort in knowing that he was happy in Dartmouth.  He was the happiest he has ever been, living on his own and proud of his accomplishments. Owen had many life struggles in previous years but we are proud to say he overcame them.  We will miss his jokes and especially his one-of-a-kind laugh.  We take solace in knowing that Owen had a very strong faith, worshipping God on a daily basis.

“I believe, I still believe, that whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.”

There will be a private Memorial Service in Owen's memory at a later date.
