Passed away suddenly on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Hants Community Hospital at the age of 59.
Patricia lived life “her way” and it took her to several places across Canada, including Alberta and British Columbia, though she spent many years in Dartmouth, Margaree, and Windsor, NS. She always called Cape Breton “home” and loved spending a day at the beach, particularly her favourite in Margaree Harbour.
“Trish” had a magnetic personality in good times, quickly making a connection with everyone she met. She had a good heart and loved giving gifts to those around her - especially gifts of food. She loved cooking
and baking in huge quantities. It wasn’t uncommon to gain a few extra pounds when Trish was cooking!
Patricia was a proud mother and was very excited to become a grandmother to Alexander in June, 2021.
Patricia is survived by her father Walter “Stewart”, Windsor NS; daughter Laura “Ashley” (Bradley), Hamilton ON; grandson Alexander, Hamilton ON; brother Paul (Linda), Lower Sackville NS; niece Lucinda (Michael), Chester Basin NS, nephew James, Lower Sackville; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends across Canada. She was predeceased by her mother Joan Carol Laurence (MacLean), Windsor NS.
Cremation has taken place care of East Coast Memorial, Windsor NS. Burial to take place at a later date at Whale Cove Cemetery in Margaree, Cape Breton.
Memorial donations can be made to the Nova Scotia SPCA in honour of her love of animals or Nova Scotia Mental Health Services in memory of her lengthy battle with mental health and addiction.
