Paulette "Mimi" Williams Obituary

Paulette “Mimi” Faye Williams

It is with heavy hearts and great relief that  Paulette’s family  would like to share the news of her passing, after a courageous battle with cancer, on, May 24th, 2023, surrounded by loved ones.

Paulette was born November 20th, 1949 in the beautiful seaside town of Shelburne, Nova Scotia. She grew up playing sports like basketball and volleyball in school. She especially loved to dance with her mom and her sister around the house. She started working in the bank right out of high school and continued in that field for many years, but also spent time in administration for a funeral home and a local business. But her favourite job was that of being Mimi, to her beloved grandsons, Keghan and Finnley.  From the moment they came into the world, everything she did was for them. She was also a devoted mother to her only child, Natalee. They had many great laughs and made many beautiful memories. Paulette made many special friends along the way, so many people cared deeply for her as she had a heart of gold and her humorous quick wit  left people in stitches.
She was a mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She will leave an emptiness that won’t be filled, but we have all been so greatly blessed that God made her part of our stories.

Paulette is survived by daughter Natalee and son-in-law, Eric Poll. Grandchildren, Keghan and Finnley Poll all of Wallbrook. Sister, April (Jack) Smith, Shelburne , brothers Harold Swaine, Shelburne, Ricky Swaine, Shelburne and Arthur (Susan) Swaine, Shelburne. As well as several nieces and nephews. Also survived by Natalee’s father,  Ralph Williams and stepmother, Carla Champion , Wolfville .

She was predeceased by her parents Lewis and Pauline (Buchanan) Swaine.
The family would like to thank all the doctors and medical staff who have cared for her along the way, all the family and friends who have reached out and carried us through this difficult time and a huge and sincere Thank You to Valley Hospice and the amazing and compassionate staff, it was truly a gift from God for her to be able to pass in this serene setting.
Donations in Paulette’s name may be made to the Valley Hospice Fund.
