Pauline Marion Scofield, Murray, age 88 of Gaspereau Mountain, Welch Rd, passed away on December 20th, 2003 at the Evergreen Home for Special Care in Kentville. Born in Black River, Kings County, Nova Scotia, She was the daughter of the late Vincent and Minnie (Tracey) Schofield Sr. Pauline worked at the old orchard Inn, Greenwich as a kitchen helper. Then at the Highland Convenience Store in Wolfville. She enjoyed hunting, gardening and passing on her knowledge to her many grandchildren. Pauline is survived by her daughters Cheryl Murray of South Alton, Sonya Murray (Robert Hiltz) of Centerville; Lynn Murray of Centerville; Shannon (Richard) Atwell of Halls Harbour and Trina Price (Glen Chute) of Greenwood. Her sons Shawn (Connie) Murray of Slave Lake, Alberta and Jason Murray of Welch Rd., Gaspereau Mountain. Along with 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Pauline is predeceased by Cyril Murray Jr., a daughter in infancy as well as her daughter, Brenda Peddle. Her sisters; Bertha Harris and Osie Harris. Her brother's Rodney Schofield, Junior Schofield and Blake Scofield. A Memorial Service, will be held at Black River hall at a later date, and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s society of Nova Scotia.
