Philip Brian Eisner, a beloved father, brother, grandfather, and friend, passed away on February 8, 2024, in Kentville, Nova Scotia, Canada. Born on October 2, 1951, in Middleton, Nova Scotia, Philip's life was one of love, adventure, and passion. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and cherished him.
Philip's legacy is carried on by his surviving daughters, Lena Masters and Gena Sheffield (Jon), his sister Loretta Piper (George), his brother David Eisner (Sandra), his granddaughters Toni, Teah (Cody), Morgan (Kalvin), Sarah, and Sylvia (Connor), his great-grandchildren Josh, Joe, Kirsten, Austin, and Clayton, as well as his chosen brothers Bruce and Kenny. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who will forever hold him dear.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Eisner, his mother, Ruth Eisner, his brother, Alden Eisner, his sister, Judy (John) Reece, and his niece, Shelley Taylor. Their memories will forever be cherished alongside Philip's.
Throughout his life, Philip dedicated himself to his work in the flooring industry, where he found fulfillment and purpose. After a brief retirement, during which he traveled across North America, he returned to work with the school board until retiring once again. His passion for art, including playing the drums, carving, and exploring various art forms, showcased his creative spirit and talent. A true lover of the outdoors, Philip found joy in hiking, kayaking, skiing, and camping, embracing the beauty of nature with every step.
Philip will be remembered for his spiritual nature and vast knowledge, which he generously shared with those around him. His wisdom and kindness touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. His absence will be deeply felt, and his memory will be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to have him in their lives.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of the Valley Hospice for their compassionate care and support during Philip's final days. Their dedication and kindness provided comfort and solace to Philip and his family, creating a sense of home during a difficult time.
In accordance with Philip's wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial service. Instead, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a local charity of your choice in honor of Philip's memory. As we mourn the loss of Philip Brian Eisner, let us also celebrate the life he lived and the love he shared with those around him. His spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew him.
