Rachel Jeanne (Maillet) Comeau

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of beloved wife mother Rachel Comeau (Maillet) at the age of 77 at Yarmouth Regional Hospital on Saturday April 6th 2024.

Born in Meteghan Station, she was the youngest daughter of Louis and Marie (Deveau) Maillet.

Rachel was selfless, caring and compassionate. Despite her health sufferings, she always managed her beautiful smile, she was always innocent, beautiful and genuine. Her unsurpassed courage and strength were remarkable beyond words. Rachel’s pride and joy were her family and friends.

She will be dearly missed by her husband of 57 years Delmer, her two very special daughters, Thelma and Lisa and special Fur baby Sophie whom she loved with her full heart.

Rachel is survived by her brother, Lewis and sister Alice.

Besides her parents, Rachel is predeceased by siblings, John, Therese Willard, Gerald, Emile, Alvina, Elise and Leonard in infancy.

The family would like to thank the palliative care team, 4th floor at Yarmouth regional hospital, Doctor Allain Blinn and all doctors that took care of our beloved mother and wife.

Cremation has taken place under the care of East Coast Memorial and a celebration of life service will be held at a later date, which will be announced.
