Ronald Levy Obituary

Ronald Ron Levy - 64 of Canaan passed away Wednesday March 16th 2022. He was one of ten children of the late David and Sadie (Kenny) Levy of Sheet Harbour, loving husband of Elizabeth (Weiss) Levy, an amazing father to Whitney (Lacey Merks-Levy) and Ashley his beloved daughter. His beloved granddaughter, Piper was the light of his life. She gave him the strength to live through so many health issues and setbacks.
Ron started Levy’s Glass and Trim in 1978, 44 years ago. He worked beside his wife Liz, father-in-law Leo Weiss, his son Whitney and daughter Ashley to whom he passed down his trade. He was extremely proud of his business and despite living through kidney disease and through two transplants he always treated his customers with respect and honesty. Aside from having the most amazing experience to replace windshields and other glass work, he also did award winning  Automotive upholstery for antique auto and operated a very successful salvage business.
He never stopped dreaming and creating and could build or fix anything. He willingly shared his knowledge and wisdom with anyone who wanted to learn. Ron appreciated all the love and support from his many, dear, lifelong friends they were truly family to him. Each and every one were special beyond words and his family will forever be grateful for their kindness and love. As one of those friends said he was a “good soul”.
Ron loved to talk. He always had a good story and a joke that he would tell with such fervor and detail that you would just fall right “into it”.
Despite all his health issues he never complained, instead his eyes would light up in seeing his next “victim” come through the door that he had a story for, or one he could listen to. He loved the ocean, especially around his beloved Sheet Harbor and loved to go on the water with his brother Jimmy - “The Captain” and go scuba diving with his wife and their friend Fern Brydon. Ron levy was “One of the good ones”. His family and friends will miss him beyond measure. May he rest in peace.

As per the family, there will be no service at this time, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
