MACNEIL, Sheila, Mary
Age 73 of Halifax, passed away at Cedar Crest (Veterans Memorial Bldg) after a short battle with Dementia.
Born in L’Ardoise Cape Breton on 28 May, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Naomi and Leo MacNeil. She was predeceased by her brother, Frank.
Sheila is survived by daughter, Laurie; son, Rick (Andrea), grand children, Damian (Meagan); Jordan (Josee) and Jagger (Thomas), sisters; Marilyn and Annette (Bill), brothers; Joe (Louise), Steve (Sheila) and numerous nieces and nephews.
An avid doer of crafts: quilting, needle point, crochet or any arts and crafts she could find. Her work can be found on the walls and beds in many homes.
Upon retirement, Sheila moved to an apartment in a seniors building where she spent considerable time working for the tenant association and participating/organizing all the events for the residents.
Cremation has taken place and a service will be held in L’Ardoise at a later date. Special thanks to the staff at Cedar Crest who made her short stay memorable.
