Stephen Patrick Pottie

Stephen Patrick Pottie, Age 63, Middle Sackville, passed away Sunday October 8th, 2023, at Orchard Court, Kentville. Born October 17th, 1959, in Halifax, Nova Scotia. 

Stephen was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a hardworking man who spent 18 years as a vehicle collision specialist until an injury forced him to switch careers. He then worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator, before ending his working career with 11 years at Crothall Services, retiring early in 2019.  

In his free time, Stephen enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, stereo systems, anything to do with cars, and off-roading with his son. He was a kind and gentle soul, with a passion for wolves, who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. 

Stephen was predeceased by his parents, Herman and Jennie (Stuart) Pottie; his brother, Harold Pottie; and Brother-in-law, Allan Bezanson.

Stephen is survived by his sister, Mary Bezanson; his sons, Phillip and Keith (Alicia); his grandchildren, Mason, Karsyn, Nolan, Allison and Hannah; his fur-grandchildren Lexi and Raven; his niece, Katrina (Jerry); and his nephew, Travis (Amanda) (Matthew, Megan, Mitchel).

Cremation has taken place, and no visitation or funeral will be held by request. A small family gathering will take place at a later date.
