Wade Lavers Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of Wade Rupert Lavers, age 56 of Three Mile Plains, announce his passing on May 6, 2022, at the Hants Community Hospital after a brave battle with cancer.  Born in Windsor, Wade was the son of the late Harold M. and Phyllis (nee Anthony) Lavers.

Wade is survived by his wife of 32 years, Tina (nee Caldwell), children: Josh (Krysta), Lydia (Dylan Parker) and Alex (Jade), grandchildren: Charley, Jase, Lucy, Emmett, Lena and Ty, and siblings: Hal (Joy), Marianne, Wanda (Kevin) Lantz, and Vicki (Shawn Eldridge).  Also surviving are Tina’s parents; Daphne (James) Wells and Bruce Caldwell (Jean), brother-in-law Todd Caldwell, sister-in-law Lisa Caldwell (Duayne), many nieces and nephews, and other extended family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Wade was predeceased by his sister, Beth, and brother-in-law, Brian Caldwell.

Wade spent most of his career operating heavy equipment and driving tractor trucks. He started working at a young age operating equipment alongside his father and brother Hal, working for the family business.  He then spent several years working for Select Transport, followed by others, and most recently, Brison Developments.  It goes without saying that Wade had a great admiration for heavy equipment and tractor trucks, especially Peterbuilt.

Some of Wade’s other interests included listening to country music (very loudly), toasted tomato sandwiches and going for long, leisurely drives.  Anyone who knew Wade also knew he loved his furry friends.

Above all, Wade adored Tina and had a deep love for his family, especially his children and grandchildren, who will miss him dearly.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses who cared for Wade during his fight with cancer, with a special thank you to Dr. Smith, Dr. Matheson, Nurse Kerri and Nurse Karen at the Hants Community Hospital for the wonderful care and compassion they provided Wade.

A graveside service for Wade will be held on Thursday May 12, 2022, at 1:00 PM at the Maplewood Cemetery, Windsor, with a reception to follow at the Three Mile Plains Community Hall.
