William "Bill" James Richard Hunt

January 22, 1938 ~ June 21, 2022 (age 84)


William “Bill” James Richard Hunt; CD age 84 of South Williamston passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 with his family by his side.
He was born in Halifax to parents William Stanley Herman (Ellen Amelia Thomson) Hunt.

Bill was proud to serve his country as a member of the R.C.A.F. Beginning his career in 1955 and retiring in 1989 after nearly 35 years of dedicated service.

He was a member of the Royal Canadian legion branch #1, a former member of the Greenwood R.C.A.F. Association and Lawrencetown Lions Club.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Caroline B. (Ashley) Hunt. His sons; William (Barb O’Neill) of Cambridge, Richard (Terry) of Edmonton AB, daughter Brenda Crowell of South Williamston, brother Robert of Pugwash and sister Mildred Hunt of Dartmouth. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his mother and father Bill is predeceased by his sister Kathryn Francis.

 A grave side celebration of Bill’s life will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at 1 PM in Fairview cemetery, Lawrencetown, Annapolis Co.  

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, The Heart and Stroke Association of Nova Scotia or to the charity of your own choice.
